Over-exertion (Not Elsewhere Classified)

Associate needed to access the platform at the rear of the machine. When ee placed foot on the bottom step of a step ladder ee felt something snap. X-ray revealed a broken bone in foot.

Caught in, under or between a moving and a stationary object

Removing bearing from loader frame. Track bar skipped off the bearing sidewall and into the bearing bore. Caught technician's left pinky finger between the track bar and loader frame. Partial amputation of pinky finger tip.

Struck against a moving object

While driving the manlift into the pit, the manlift started coasting fast & veered off to the right. Driver overcorrected & the manlift came to an abrupt stop by hitting a snow bank next to a berm, throwing employee against the basket rail. EE then felt what EE thought may be a sprain in EE's wrist, yet continued working.

Miner was burnt while heating a bolt on a 980 cat loader. The loader was in a shop for complete rebuild.

Associate was climbing off of a tractor and stepped on something on the ground. Associate twisted his ankle due to the object on the ground.

Associate was stepping down from drill carrier cab onto the ground. He landed hard on his right heel. Experienced some discomfort at that time, but it did not bother him the rest of the day. The next day his heel was swollen and painful and he went to the doctor.

Associate changing teeth on bucket of machine using small sledgehammer, when struck metal against metal, shard broke loose and lodged in his left arm.

While clearning roads for the new road around Bull Run for core drilling, Other EE had a tick get on him (around the belt area). He did not discover it until that evening at home. He was in a rental trac machine.

ASSOCIATE WAS WORKING UNDER 980C LOADER WHICH WAS BEING REBUILT. HE ATTEMPTED TO EXIT FROM UNDER MACHINE, STOOD UP TOO SOON AND CUT HEAD ON EDGE OF LOADER FENDER.
