Sometime before 06/24/2024 a trespasser entered property and fell off the active highwall. Body was discovered at ~4:20PM by two EEs. MSHA hotline called at 4:27PM along with police and rescue. Sheriff's office has ruled it an accident.

The injured employee was working with a co-worker performing maintenance on a conveyor belt. The guard to the bend pulley was partially removed and the employee was using an adjustable wrench to try to remove a grease fitting when he received a laceration/avulsion injury to his right hand.

HE HAD HIS HAND ON THE CYLINDER WHEN THE BACK END BLEW APART SNAPPING THE CYLINDER FORWARD AND PINCHING HIS LEFT INDEX FINGER CRUSHING THE END
