Struck by falling object

Miner was reinstalling a suction pipe on the ladder of the dredge, miner went to place bolt on the underside when sand fell into miner's right eye.

Employee was exploratory drilling at property adjacent to HM Booneville site. Employee was operating drill connecting continuous flight auger stems. This involves insertion of a metal clip/pin into the connecting points on the auger stems using a hammer. Weight of the hammer is 14 oz ball type. In the back swing motion of hammering employee felt pain in right elbow.

EE WAS USING A PRYBAR ON A SAND FLUME WHEN THE BAR SLIPPED AND PINNED HIS FINGER BETWEEN THE PRYBAR AND THE FLUME. HE RECEIVED MULTIPLE FRACTURES TO THE MIDDLE FINGER ON HIS RIGHT HAND ABOVE T HE FIRST KNUCKLE.

DESCENDING LADDER FROM PLANT, HIS FEET SLIPPED. HE GRABBED LADDER RUNG WITH LEFT HAND. THE JERKING MOTION CAUSED A TEAR IN LEFT ROTATOR CUFF, DIAGNOSED ON 6/21/02.
