While performing maintenance on the self cleaning tail pulley bearing, a miner had the loose side of the pulley propped up with a pry bar, while another miner was sizing the bearing to the shaft. The bar slipped causing the tail pulley to drop injuring the right index finger of the miner requiring 16 stitches.

The drive belts on the crusher discharge converyor burned off. The employee could not find the correct size belt and decided to cut down a wider belt to fit. He used a utility knife to cut and the knife slipped striking him in the leg sustaining a laceration.
